Seacoast United to Host Special Olympics Soccer Tournament

Volunteer Help Needed

On Saturday May 21st, Seacoast United will once again play hosts to the Special Olympic soccer tournament.  Similar to last year, the home venue will be the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping.  13 teams from across the state will compete and play four games each.  The soccer teams will compete in three distinct group.  The Juniors – aged from 11 to 15years, the young adults aged 16 to 22years and the seniors aged 22 years and older.  Opening ceremonies will be at 9am and the games will kick-off at 9:30am.  Final games are scheduled for 1pm.

As well as providing the host site, Seacoast United has always provided volunteers to make the event a success.  This year will be no different and we are looking for help throughout the day.  Volunteer jobs include: scorekeepers, referees, time keepers, lunch coordinator, general team cheerleaders and coordinators.  This event has always been a massive success and mainly due to the help from people within the club.  If you are interested in helping for the day, please email Ian Burgess –  We are looking for help in all categories and also one or two “point” parents to help coordinate the volunteers.
