Seacoast United’s success on the field extends well past the club program. You only have to travel a short trip down Route 101 to see firsthand how some of the girls’ players played a crucial role in this year’s Exeter High School team.  Seacoast United was well represented in the 2020 Division 1 Championship Girls’ Soccer Exeter High School team. The Exeter girls varsity soccer team went undefeated this fall, winning 33 games and allowing only 2 goals in the process. The team was well represented by 4 standout Seacoast United players: Kailey Hall, Payton O'donnell, Maggie Hall, and Nevaeh Petruzzi.

Kailey Hall, who also features in goal for her club, had an amazing season between the sticks conceding only 2 goals out of 33 competitive matches. Payton O'Donnell spent the whole season flying up and down the left flank as she featured as the left back in the Hawks’ back four.  Her defensive prowess transferred easily to Seacoast United’s team where she has been an impact player for the whole of the fall season. Maggie Hall commanded things in the middle of the park for her highschool team and played an integral role in terms of creating opportunities and breaking up play against the opposition. Her ability to receive the ball under pressure and switch the field of play resulted in her notching up several assists (and a handful of goals for herself as well). She is currently a practice player for the Girls’ Academy team but is also a leading player for the girls NPL team. Nevaeh Petruzzi, who played out on the left predominantly as a left winger had an impressive campaign with 12 goals and 7 assists. Nevaeh’s speed and attacking mindset proved to be a real threat to right backs across the high school division.

These four players did a commendable job of representing not only Seacoast United, but everything they have been taught over the course of their development. Now that the high school season has concluded, the players have turned their attention to both the club and academy programs and will pick right up where they left off. Congrats to all of the players on a well earned championship. Make sure you follow the Seacoast United social media accounts to see how they do for the rest of the season.
